Other names for sedum mixicanum: carpet sedum, needle stonecrop, or sea urchin.

Hardy evergreen Perennial with pointed, bright green leaves that resemble a sea urchin or needle, and requires little attention due to its drought and heat resistant qualities. Sedum is native to East Asia and is a species of the Crassulaceae, or stonecrop family. Needle stonecrop thrives in 6+ hour day of direct sunlight and can survive in hot temperatures. Plants typically flower during the summer, depending on conditions. Though, the plant is slightly toxic if ingested, some benefits of using the leaves as a poultice include reducing inflammation, alleviating pain when applied externally.

Non-toxic, safe for pets; ingestion is still not recommended.

Our varieties are established using a custom blend of Cactus soils.

All of our sedum lineare plants were originally sourced from growers in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Thrives in full sunlight and prefers warm, arid climates.

Plant is sensitive to overwatering and prefers soil that is light, airy, and free draining. Recommended to check soil before watering, about every couple of days or so (condition dependent), and water at the soil level rather than on the leaves.
