Inchplant is a hardy house plant with succulent-like stems and beautiful variegated foliage that can flower small purple flowers if pollinated. The plant is part of the spiderwort family (Commelinaceae) and is native to Southern Mexico and Guatemala. This ground cover can be grown outside in Zones 9 - 11 (so, includes San Antonio!).
Non-toxic, safe for pets; ingestion is still not recommended.
Our varieties are established using a custom potting soil blend.
All of our Trandescantia Zebrina plants come from a mother plant that was originally sourced in San Antonio, Texas.
Recommended to water every 1 - 2 weeks. The plant thrives best in direct sunlight where you can see its vibrant lavender-colored leaves.
We recommend the plant should change pots when leaves continue to wilt after watering. It's a customer preference. We also suggested refreshing the soil every few months and if the plant is a manageable size, repot every year or so.
